Jazz Shapers

The Shapers Project

On 11 May 2015, Mishcon de Reya launched ‘The Shapers Project’, a book inspired by Jazz Shapers on Jazz FM and designed by The Creative Society.

Mishcon de Reya has been running Jazz Shapers, a one hour programme on Jazz FM which interviews the shapers of business and plays music from the shapers of jazz soul and blues, since January 2012. During this time, over 150 entrepreneurs have been interviewed, each telling their own powerful story about how they made their business happen.

Believing that more could be done with the rich and insightful content unlocked through the show, Mishcon de Reya joined forces with The Creative Society, an arts employment charity that helps young people into jobs in the creative and cultural industries. Through a creative process, involving a group of 16 – 24 year old unemployed people keen to gain real work experience to give them the edge in their search for employment, a collection of some of the most inspirational interviews from Jazz Shapers were selected. The result is The Shapers Project – a combination of youthful creative ideas alongside inspirational business teachings.

Elliot Moss, Head of Business Development at Mishcon de Reya and host of Jazz Shapers, commented:

A huge thank you to The Creative Society and Jazz FM for their dedication, creativity and hard work, and to our shapers, without whom this book wouldn’t have been possible.
